Shout Out!

I know this isn't my typical post about how wonderful life and my family are. In fact, there will be no pictures, but I couldn't resist posting this video. I have to give a shout-out to my friend Tiffany Scholes. She will totally get why I love this so much!

Happy Halloween! We had a blast! Jack officially made the CUTEST sumo wrestler ever and Eileen was such an adorable Raggedy Anne. We didn't take Jack trick-or-treating because he can't eat the candy, but we did go to our ward Halloween party and we won the costume contest! Boo yah! We hope you all had a great time as well!

5 Months!

Jack is officially 5 months today!  And wow! Has the time flown!  Cameron and I are back in school full-time and life went from crazy to chaotic, but we're so happy!  I just wanted to share a few pics of our little guy to show off how adorable he is. :)

I Love Being a Mom!

Wow! Do I love being a mother!  Jack is such a sweet baby.  He's full of big smiles and he brightens up every day with his sweet personality.  It is so amazing to find yourself capable of such complete and perfect love for another little person.  Having this baby has opened my eyes to my Heavenly Father's love for me.  If I can feel this much love for Jack, I can only imagine how much and how perfectly Heavenly Father loves me.  Isn't life just beautiful!?!

I also wanted to thank Cameron for being such an amazing father.  This father's day has been the perfect opportunity to tell him how much I appreciate him.  It's not common to have a husband that gets up with me in the night every time the baby needs to eat, changes a diaper without being asked and always wants to hold and play with his baby.  I am so lucky! I love you Cam! Thanks for this beautiful little boy!

 I decided that it would be worth it to get some cute maternity pictures at one point in my life and thought "Why not just do it with our first baby?"  I just got these back from Jaelyn Lovell today and I am so pleased with them.  You can check out her other great work here.

Jack Smiling

I can't believe baby Jack is already 7 weeks old!  He's becoming a pro-smiler and it is so fun.  He's also getting chunky, which makes me super happy.  I really love being a mom and am enjoying every moment I have with my little one.  Cam and I are so blessed!

Baby Jack

I have obviously neglected my blog for a really long time now!  Life has been really crazy.  I started the nursing program at Southern Utah University this spring and it has definitely kept me on my toes.  I also had our baby, John Anthony Hunter (a.k.a. Jack), on March 31st, 2012 at 11:54 p.m.  He came right on his due date and I was determined to have him then and not on April 1st. :)

He weighed 8 lbs 11 oz and was 21.5 inches.  Labor and delivery were completely amazing!  Yes, I got an epidural and loved it.  The entire process was wonderful.  I had wonderful nurses.  I adore my Obstetrician, and my husband was such a wonderful support. 

I realized that I absolutely love everything about being a mother.  I loved being pregnant.  I loved labor and delivery.  I love having him here and being his mom!  It's amazing how you can feel so fulfilled and complete when you're doing what the Lord wants you to do.  I truly feel that I am finally serving in my divine role as a mother.  It's such an amazing experience!

Cameron is also so amazing!  He is such a wonderful father.  I love to see him play, hug, kiss and cuddle with his little boy.  Jack looks just like Cameron, and I love it!  I am so lucky to have married the wonderful man that I married!  He is so unbelievably good to me and now he is just as good to our little one.
